1 what is imperfections of handmade carpets?

Our carpets are produced by master weavers and under strict quality control by experienced managers. However, sometime slight or minor imperfection in the shape, pattern or colors is negligable due to nature of its work and finishing process it passes through which is 100% hand crafted which infact adds to the value and set it apart from machine made rugs. Nomadics and tribal carpets sometime have signifacant imperfection as they travel and move from one area to the others along with their looms and many time, procure and dye the wool at different times which is also called "Abrash". An "Abrash" adds more charm and charactristic to the handknotted/orientalcarpet and at the sametime, reflects the Nomadic way of life of the weavers.

2 How close photos of your carpets to orignal colors?

We use high resolution digital camaras using the daylight environement which gives the closest possible colors to the original carpet.

3 What's the fluff in my carpet?

All of our carpets go through an intense process of washing and cleaning. However, it is not unusual to notice a minor fluff in a handmade carpet which is the surplus wool tapped in the pile after the clipping process. This will gradually disappear after cleaning by vacuum cleaning couple of times.

You can also change your order by sending us email to customerservice@therugknot.com. Please inform the carpet number+size+price you would like instead of one ordered. we will change it for you provided the ordered has not been already shipped to you.

5 Folds and creases marks?

Folds and creases marks sometime appear from packing for the shipment. They will gradually disappear after using for couple of days

6 How do I get rid of stains?

The best way to get rid of stains by dealing with it immediately with a damp/wet cloth. incase stain is still visible, a good quality stain cleaning material can also be used suitable for appropriete material (wool or silk)

7 Rain water/washing/cleaning?

Inacse carpet is wet in rain water, please contact to a professional carpet washing/cleaning expert without delay. we stongly advise not attempt to wash it by yourself at home which can cause irreversable damage to the carpet.
